GO LSU

Like the new color scheme - for the 2009 football season.

First Day of 1st Grade

Well, it is back to school time again. The day before school started I took Kendal and a couple of her pals to the McWayne Center, a local Science Center. They must have spent 1 hour playing on this car. When they are all grown up, these girls could probably make a killing fixing cars all dazzled up as they were this day. It was quite a funny picture watching these three girls in their glittery outfits changing oil and tires on this model car.

Well, it is back to school time. Here, day 1, Kendal is getting ready to head off to her new class, meet her new teacher, and classmates. Did I say that I'm the bus driving for 4 to 5 kids daily. Loads of fun in the morning picking up the neighborhood kids. Here Daisy in her own way is telling Kendal to have a great day.

Here are the neighborhood kids I give rides to daily. They were all very colorful on this first day with shiny new shoes and backpacks. Kids think the clothes from Justice are just too cool. Me, just too expensive.

Happy 6th Birthday

On Kendal's Birthday we had a very small party. Hal's family and the kids from next door came over the celebrate the day. We are having a kid party on the 19th. The last picture here is of Kendal singing a song for everyone. She is sounding a little to "Alabama" when singing the high notes. Posted by Picasa

Learning to Dance

For Kendal's birthday, a friend gave her the new Hannah Montana movie. Here, Kendal and Casey are teaching themselves how to dance the Hoe down Throw down line dance. Kendal decided she had to perform this in her Halloween custom and her Hannah Montana wig. What a combo.

Mastering the Bike

Posted by Picasa

Ok - This is day 1 on the bike and that is all it took -one push and off she went. I'm so glad, it was killing me and I'm sure her Dad that she wasn't picking up on these outdoor activities that he and I both enjoy. By the time I am actually posting these pics, (sorry family), K has mastered the bike so well, we tackled the BMX track at Oak Mountain this past weekend. Bike Link is talking sponsorship. Ok, maybe I'm a bit on the proud side, but Kendal has mastered riding and negotiating over rocks, dirt, small hills and portions of the BMX track. Next summer, the bike trail at Oak Mountain, will belong to her! The BMX track will be for kids only. The rest of our crew, the Kerth family, mastered all or at least a large portion of the BMX track, including Momma Kerth. I'm sure Danny was laughing his head off at us saying -is that my wife, and shouting, "Way to go Zack, Olivia, and Bella!"

Kendal thanking her Grandmother for her Christmas present. I think everyone had a great Christmas morning with both sets of grandparents being around for the special day.

This is Kendal at one of the Daisy Scout Outings. We were visiting the local fire house for the girls to understand the importance of public services. She got to sit in the front of the firetruck. She was very excited.

Santa's Coming to Town 2008

We took our yearly train trip to the North Pole for a visit with Santa today. We didn't take the Polar Express this year, but still had a successful visit with Santa.
